What is decisive for an SDIS, in the choice of equipment?

Safety above all, the products must imperatively be "standardized" and it is the criterion of choice N ° 1 at Gallin in the selection of its partners. We also attach great importance to the quality of the raw materials, to the weight and size of the products, to the ergonomics / handling and to the repairability of the products that we select, ultimately all that we find in AUDINNOV products.

These are PREMIUM products, very successful with a very large work on weight gain without compromising the quality of material.

You will of course find Audinnov ladders at Gallin since we have been partners for more than 15 years, but also at Ugap - www.ugap.fr - here we have been in the fire equipment market since 2014.

How were you authorized to repair the equipment?

Our technicians were trained for the first time at AUDINNOV and then regularly benefit from an upgrade within the walls of AUDINNOV to keep abreast of technological developments in products and new ranges.

What are the most frequently repaired parts?

To be honest, we intervene very little on the AUDINNOV ladders.

When this is the case, it is in principle on a damaged rung or on wearing parts such as ropes, skates.

What other products and tools do you repair?

We have an after-sales service made up of 6 people and we work on all the products that we distribute to our firefighter friends and in particular on our strong brands Audinnov, Holmatro, Delannoy, Adaro. It is very common for our customers to take out preventive maintenance contracts, which guarantee product longevity.
 

What is decisive for an SDIS, in the choice of equipment?

The price / quality ratio is an asset in the commercial approach because we obtain a quality product which has been studied for firefighters.

What elements do you like in AUDINNOV products?

Innovation (even if this can be a brake for the management of spare parts), we can see that AUDINNOV emphasizes R&D by offering different profiles to always be as safe as possible. The finish demonstrates the quality and robustness of the products

How were you authorized to repair the equipment?

The training that is given on the AUDINNOV site allows you to realize the know-how of the company and this allows a moment of discussion with the R&D office.

What are the most frequently repaired parts?

On the 3 plans, it is the flying buttresses and the uprights which are impacted by the repairs in particular due to a lack of knowledge of the product.
On the 2 plans, it is more the bars which are damaged with the supports ladder of the trucks.
On hook ladders, the spacer sometimes and the wall spacers.
Repairs are very rare because customers prefer to replace the ladder => SAFETY

What other products and tools do you repair?

We are also authorized at Gallin for the upkeep (maintenance contract) and repair of extrication tools (HOLMATRO), the repair of the various models of ATEX ADARO lamps and the maintenance of HONEYWELL insulating breathing apparatus. In general, we arrange for one or more Gallin technicians to be authorized by the manufacturer. We have a maintenance department with 4 technicians who are available roaming and within the company.
